Background

Nicole (she, they) is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) and a Therapist in CAS’ Psychotherapy Fellowship Program, training to become a specialist in the field of eating disorders. Nicole earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education Degrees at Clark University before pursuing her Master of Social Work Degree at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Nicole has a background working with children and adults and providing individual and group therapy for those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, perinatal mood disorders, and severe and persistent mental illness. 

Philosophy

Nicole embraces a person-centered approach to therapy, working to establish a safe and trusting relationship through warmth, approachability, and authenticity. Nicole will meet you with curiosity and compassion, helping you uncover what resonates and serving as a guide on the path as you come home to yourself.  She uses an eclectic “toolbox” of evidence-based therapeutic practices, adaptable to the needs of each person on their journey. Nicole is drawn to a variety of treatment approaches, including narrative therapy, relational psychotherapy, expressive and somatic therapies, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Nicole is committed to trauma-informed care, embracing neurodiversity and gender-affirming practices, cultural humility, and anti-ableist approaches.

Joy

Nicole finds joy in reading, photography, experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with friends.
